Hello from Kindergarten! I’m Carol DeKeyzer, and I have had the pleasure of teaching at Abbot for 10 years. Before coming to Abbot, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan, then taught first and second grades here in Ann Arbor for 12 years. Kindergartners are a joy to teach because they are eager, caring, and full of questions.

At home, my husband, Danny, and I have six kids between the ages of 3 and 17. We have been Abbot parents for 13 years now. We love the Abbot neighborhood. Our family enjoys game time and long road trips together. When I get a moment to myself, I love to read.
